Sunday 30 May 2010
It was a cold and early start with dark clouds hanging around and with forecast rain, our group of 17 cyclists headed off along the Koonung bike path for our ride to the city– our destination, Federation Square. With a short rest stop at Fairfield Boat house and luckily still no rain we proceeded along the busy Yarra trail. Everyone rode at a fantastic pace and we arrived in Federation Square around midday. After a lunch break in the city we all caught the train back to Mitcham. Total distance ridden- 40kms.
Well done Emily and Veronika on getting back on your bikes and continuing after small spills due to the weather. Thank you to our lovely parents and grandparents and staff who come along to assist.

On Sunday, 16 May our group met at 10am for our second group ride. Our group of 17 riders rode along the Eastern Freeway bike path (Koonung Trail) with everyone enjoying the downhill roll for the first 2kms. We arrived at our destination Hahndorf''s Chocolate Shop in Bulleen where we all enjoyed the lovely treats the shop offered. The bike path was busy upon our return with Oxfam using the path for a community walk. All our riders did a great job of cycling safely back to our destination. Thank you to our lovely parents/ grandparents who come along to support the kids.

Sunday, 18 April 2010 was the first day of our Girls Riding Group. With a mix of Staff, Parents and students our group of 18 riders left the College for a leisurely ride to Jells Park. After a short rest stop we headed back to the College. It was a great day with everyone riding extremely well for our first training ride, covering 24kms.
