The Disability Inclusion and Learning Diversity Program at Vermont Secondary College offers support to students, families and teachers to provide extra support for children with a disability under the Departments Disability Inclusion reforms. Our team is led by our Assistant Principal Kelly Stals (Head of Disability Inclusion & Learning Diversity) and Georgia Cox-Minahan (Disability Inclusion & Learning Diversity Leader) who together co-ordinate a committed team of Education Support Staff.  We pride ourselves on continual education in evidence-based support to meet the learning and wellbeing needs of the individual student.

We support our students with a range of Social Support Programs, Literacy and Numeracy Programs, Quality Differentiated Teaching and further adjustments where necessary to meet the student at their point of need.  Typically, we support students with Physical Disabilities, Chronic Health Conditions, ASD, ADHD, Learning Disability, Sensory Impairments and other diagnoses. As a college we celebrate differences with self-affirming language and a strengths-based approach to foster a sense of belonging.

Should you have any questions you are invited to contact the Disability Inclusion and Learning Diversity Team at the college.
